Petr Shevchenko (b. 1986, Russia) is an Athens-based visual artist whose practice is centered on abstract painting and informed by a strong interest in spirituality and metaphysical thought. Educated in Fine Arts and New Media at AKTO and Middlesex University, he has developed a visual language that bridges inner psychological exploration with ideas of harmony and universal energy.
His work reflects a belief in reincarnation and the existence of invisible forces, using abstraction to express what lies beyond human perception. Through color, symbol, and dynamic composition, his paintings create a sense of movement and invite deeper contemplation.
He has presented six solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad, including shows at the Historical Archives Museum of Hydra, Domus Gallery in Athens, Pallas Athena, Caramel in Rethymno, Giardini in Venice, and the Stoa of the National Kapodistrian University. Alongside this, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in cities such as Athens, Rome, Chania, and St Petersburg.
As soon as Shevchenko’s works appear before our eyes—physically static works—something unexpected happens: it’s as if the canvases come to life and mesmerize us with their light, colors, figures, and energy, making us want to linger on them for much longer.
