Paul Gallard (b. 1994, France) is a designer and visual artist whose practice bridges contemporary art, design, and craftsmanship. Trained in applied arts at Institut Saint-Luc in Tournai, Belgium, before earning a Master’s degree in Product Design, his background informs an artistic language rooted in precision, material research, and spatial awareness. His experience with Compagnons du Devoir further strengthened his connection to craftsmanship and technical discipline.
Working through geometric abstraction, Op Art, and in situ practice, Gallard explores the relationship between structure, movement, and perception. His compositions are developed through systems balancing control and chance, often inspired by algorithmic processes and created using digital tools.
A central focus of his work is the creation of immersive, contemplative experiences. Through reflective materials, optical rhythms, grids, and subtle color transitions, he invites the viewer to become part of the artwork itself. In his Osmose series, Gallard explores the fusion of contrasting states through light, reflection, and movement, creating works that continuously evolve with their environment.
In 2020, he exhibited at Musée MuBa Eugène Leroy. Since then, his work has been presented in France and internationally, notably at Galerie Bruno Massa, Ellia Art Gallery, The Oblist, and HannaH Assouline Gallery.
